Anpassade skolan är inom Sverige ett grupp från skolformer på grund av elever vilket inte klarar skolgång inom grundskolan samt gymnasieskolan vid grund från intellektuell funktionsnedsättning (IF) alternativt som vid grund från en förvärvad hjärnskada fått en avgörande och bestående begåvningsnedsättning. Tidigare kunde även elever tillsammans med autismspektrumtillstånd bli mottagna inom särskolan. Detta regleras inom Skollagen (SFS , 3 kapitlet 3§ med flera). Anpassade skolan omfattar ett obligatorisk nioårig grundskola, ett frivillig gymnasieskola och vuxenutbildning. Den obligatoriska skolan innefattar anpassad grundskola för studenter med enstaka lindrig skarpsinnig funktionsnedsättning; samt träningsskola på grund av elever vilket inte klarar av grundsärskolan på bas av enstaka mer grundlig intellekt

Pre-school, school and adult education
