The First admissions round
The first admissions round is specifically for international students. This round has many advantages, such as, all courses and programmes taught in English are offered, the deadlines and admissions decisions are much earlier, applicants requiring a residence permit have the time they need to apply for and receive it.
The Second admissions round
The second admissions round is for students living in Sweden.
Some universities offer courses and programmes taught in English in the second round, usually when there are still places available after the first round.
International students are welcome to apply to this round, but there are a few things to consider, such as below

I am struggling to log into the student website using Microsoft Authenticator. What do I do?
Microsoft is experiencing some problems with MFA (multi-factor authentication) using Microsoft Authenticator. This means that logging into the student website is sometimes slow. We are troubleshooting together with Microsoft. You can try again later, or try using another web browser.
I cannot see my schedule. What do I do?
Have you logged into the student website? The schedule should be visible on the startpage if you have logged in. However, we currently have problems showing the schedule for some students. To fix the problem for you, you need to contact us and describe your problem. Do so by filling out the Servicedesk IT support form. Choose the ”Websites” category. If you are not already logged in, you need to state your UMU ID and we will get back to you. Contact the Servicedesk IT support
