I begynnelsen var MS
Det var mycket hysch-hysch kring MS när den skulle introduceras Meningen var att båten skulle bli ett komplement till Marieholms Sea Cat och IF-båten. Ryktena talade om en motorseglare som skulle värva fler till seglingskonsten men med motorbåtens säkerhet och bekvämlighet.
Olle Enderlein ritade båten som en protest till andra båtar i samma storleksklass.
En protest mot båtar där det enda som var stort var antalet kojplatser. Mycken möda och noggranhet lades ned på pluggarna. MS 20 var en detaljfärdig båt redan i den första serien. Enderlein gjorde en del avsteg från en renodlad segelbåt för att båten skulle bli mera lämpad som motorseglare. Ett tämligen litet djupgående, 0,95m, och en förhållandevis liten kölviktkg på deplacementet 1,25 ton. Segelytan var mera normal med ca 17 kvm i krysstället. Utformningen av riggen var av modern 7/8-dels typ.
Båten seglar i alla väder och har inga olater för sej. Knappast snabb, men det hänger samman med den ringa storleken. Höjdtagningsförmågan är under medelmåttan genom den grunda kölen. Från början utrustades MS med Volvo Penta MD1(A). I förhållande till båtens storlek ansågs detta vara en
